i agree about the 9700 pro. i bought a x1800xt last week and can't tell the difference
all this talk about gpu is just to make the companies and websites money

My 9700 Pro was really really good to me - I ran that thing for more than three years! That was one of the greatest quantum leaps in video-card technology, ever. I've had various nVidia and 3Dfx cards in the past, but the 9700 Pro was by far the best, in its era. I like my X850XT as well.

ha, cool. i have the same -- 754 3200+ clawhammer, x800 xt pe agp, 2gb pc3200. enough for my purposes, and just enough for 64-bit. i don't think i'll ever buy a part that's > $100 [ever] again... save hard drives.

ya, i liked my 9800pro as well. it's now in my linux box... still an acceptable gaming card.
