if i have the windows version of Quake 3, can i and how can i play on linux?

i read somewhere on the net that you can download a patch, and use the win files. do oyu know anything of that?

I believe you can d/l linux exes for free. Then all you have to do is copy the *.pak file from your original cd and you should be all set.

it's just the linux point release you need to download.

install that, then just copy the pak0.pk3 from your win32 q3 cd into the baseq3 dir on your harddrive
