It always freezes up after about 20 minutes playing, it never used to though.

The changes Ive made to my system prior to the freeze ups are

HD IBM 75GXP 30.7Gb was running on a Maxtor DiamondMax+ 6800 27.3Gb ( gonna use that for backups now )

And I added another stick of crucial 128MB SDRAM ( I have 256MB now )

Cant think of anything else I may have changed or fiddled with.

Since I installed everything onto the IBM Q3 has been freezing on me. Elite Force did it once ( havent played it that much recently though ). SOF works fine, its never frozen on me and Ive been playing that alot. All these multiplayer btw.

Like I said everything used to work fine before I installed on the new HD.

I also had trouble installing Q3 as I remember, cant recall exactly but it stopped about 72% into the install, the DVD drive powered down and I got message or error or somthing, cant remember ( yeah I know I should write stuff down ), tried it a few times I think. Installed it using my CDRW and it worked.

Ive installed a few Q3 Mods that Id never installed previously but apart from the above everything is the same as it always was apart from Q3 freezing on me
:|:(

Are you overclocking? It may be a heat thing. Then new HD may be getting you case too hot and your Vid card may be overheating. Try taking the cover off your case and see if it crashes. You may need a HD cooler to help you out! :)

Thanks Blackflagg, I think your right about it being a heat thing.

I took the case cover off and ran Q3 following a bot in spectater mode, it lasted 70mins before freezing.
I then cranked all the graphics setting down to minimum and it lasted over 120mins and didnt crash and a
further 70mins playing on the net, still no freeze up :D

Gonnna have to sort out the inside of my case, its a bit messy in there, maybe get a case fan or something.

Cheers:)

Check your memory too... i added a stick of memory a while back and the same thing happened to me, after a while it would just kick me out of the game, i realized that my mem stick was bad and once it started really working to use it (i.e. high res situations or lots of motion) it would freeze up and kick me out... good luck.
