Quake 3 "Server uses protocol 45" error

Hi,
I'm getting this error when I try to join some Quake3 servers. I believe this means that the server is using a different version of Quake3 from me. I'm currently using v1.16n, does anyone kow which version protocol 45 represents? I know the newest version is v1.17 but I didn't bother to get it since v1.16n worked fine for me.

You have to get the new point release- that may not be the only problem but it is a start.

I know(or at least I strongly believe) its a conflict of versions that's causing this problem coz I've had it before. I just wanted to know if protocol 45 means v1.17 rather than some other older version before I upgrade to the latest point releast(v1.17)

45 is the for 1.17
update your quake. 1.17 fixes some security issues
