quake 3 PROBLEM!

i hve been playing it for some time now.. but the other day.. i unistalled then reinstalled.. dont ask why???!.. but anyhow, i went to start it today and it says user interface version 4, expected three and then it makes me close.. help would be great.. and .. a link also! thanks guys.!

I would yet again uninstall it and then make sure you delete the installed folder that it left behind and then reinstall and I bet it works. Good Luck

It's telling you there is a mismatch between the pak files and some core files. When you uninstall it, recheck that the Directory is deleted then reinstall from the CD and try to run it without any patches. If it works, redownload the latest update and try patching it.

If that doesn't work then try searching the registry for relevant keys. (Backup)
