I just "acquired" a "copy" of Quake 3 arena from a "friend" and everything installed properly. Upon running, I get a blank white screen. When I run NHL 2001 I get a blank white screen, but then the game starts running. That might be because that intro movie for NHL 2001 is a white background. Not sure. Well anyway, I don't think it's the game's fault, but my Radeon's fault. I've had a few problems with my radeon. I have the latest drivers for the radeon, opengl, and directx. any help?

Damn. I wonder why it's doing this to me..what's also weird is I tried installing some game for my little brother on his computer earlier and the ssame thing happened! Must be me heh. I'm not sure of his specs, he's got some HP comp. I believe it's some ati card though. not positive.

It sounds like re-install time. It runs fine on my machine, Win2k tho.

If you bought it, there would be support...

You could try the forums at www.quake3world.com

I have the Radeon, and Quake3 runs great! Smooth as butter. All my games that use the Quake3 engine run great also. As a matter of fact I don't have a game that doesn't run.

It's not the card's fault. But there is something wrong there. You'll have to try tracking that down. Try some fresh installs of the game, drivers, etc. And clear out the registry before the new. Also look into VIA 4in1 drivers these can possibly help.

You're not alone, I tried both a Radeon LE 32MB and the 64MB retail box, I never could get either one to play my games correctly.
