Sounds like a decent deal for $10

Remastered OG game and expansion packs, new episode, Quake 64 (if you didn't already have the OG quake remaster), multiplayer and co-op across the board. Not too shabby.

Quake 2 was always my jam vs the OG Quake (which I am finally playing through now). Whole game just felt more coherent, had an actual plot (albeit basic), an absolutely incredible soundtrack, and was generally just a good time.

Also played the shareware version deathmatch in our computer lab back in the day.

Amazing find.

Did you like Q4? I thought it was a very well fleshed out continuation of Q2 universe and attacking Strogg (and becoming a Strogg yourself).

Yeah I was always more of an Unreal Tournament guy so I skipped over Quake 3, but I enjoyed Quake 4 quite a bit. Missed opportunity to do a co-op campaign there given how much time you spend with AI squadmates.

Quake is ready for a Q5 that merges the occult half of the story with the Strogg half of the story with a Doom 2016 levels of intensity.

Interesting, but I don't think I'll be replacing my existing source port. Looks like they also made changes to the maps and AI.

I hope they do RTCW next and port the Egypt levels from the consoles which the PC never got.

Did you like Q4?
Nah, it was absolute garbage. Very boring level design, the only interesting part was the sewer/waste areas, which reminded me of Doom 3. Doom 3 was awesome.

Honestly none of the ID Tech 4 games were great. I waited for Doom 3 to have a midnight launch and while the game looked incredible for the time, it just wasn't the Doom I remembered.

That said I enjoyed the more action forward approach of Quake 4 over the monster in a closet approach of Doom 3.

Nice, I didn't know this existed, the graphics are ugly though still from 1997. This is probably not going to work with quake2XP graphics mod?

Edit: oh wow, didnt know i already had it in my library they probably added for free when it came out since i already have origional version of Quake 2 from GOG.
