I need to DL one, something very intensive, to test my frame rates on my Radeon 8500/XP 1800+...

Know where I can dl one? Quakeworld doesn't seem to have.

hehe...last time i played quake I was getting 1850fps with a timerefresh in DM3.

how can you play like that? thats too slow, I can't play at anything less than 2000fps

Yo, I still play Q1, but I can't see any reason to benchmark it. You will get the max FPS for the game regardless of video card (72 FPS). Above 72 is considered cheating because it can only be done with the use of cheats.

How do you cheat higher? To my knowledge I didn't cheat with my 1800fps timerefreshes :D Maybe i did do something to the config file, I dunno...been a while since I was a serious quaker

Quake 1 will likely be CPU limited at any resolution with today's video cards.

Q3A still scales pretty well, however, & still makes a decent benchmark.

I have a copy of Q1. Where would I go to get the 3d accelerated update for it?
