i just started at my new job this week but i got a badass system for a entry level guy...
P4 2.8 w/ HT
1.0GB RAM
QuadroFX 540
80GB Hard drive

well... ive been working on drawings in Microstation J and i will soon be working on them in AutoCAD 2002 and then after that PDS... well i cant seem to get any of these programs to use the video card to render things... its all CPU power, like in Microstation J if i am zoomed into a drawing thats roughly 32x48 or something like that and pan around my cpu usage goes up to ~60% on both "cpu" now i know that there isnt that much stuff on these drawings but if the GPU was actually doing something then it would be WAY better, but thats not the real problem. in AutoCAD 2002 there is a sample drawing of a Oil tank/pump thing and it will load it fine and all, even renders it fine... problem is that when i select all the parts i only get 473 and then i tell it to rotate so that i can see the other side and i get about .5fps... yes, 1 frame every 2 seconds or so. i KNOW that autocad 2002 comes w/ drivers that will allow nearly any video card to be used to accelerate it since i even had a GeForce2 MX400 setup on a machine at one point but for some reasons its showing that there are not drivers for it within any of the CAD programs im using... the machine DOES have ForceWare drivers but i know they arent up to date, according to nVidia's website the highest approved driver that Bentley (Microstation) is only 71.85 and my machine has 71.84 on it... i downloaded 77.18 since thats the driver that is certified through AutoDesk but i have yet to install it since i really havent had time to.

does anyone know as to why im having this problem
