QuadroFX 3400 or FireGL V7100?

OK i am building a system at work for an engineer to work in analysis and fluid dynamic as well as CAD applications.

The system is going to include the fellow but need to know which card is better. I am leaning toward the v7100 and it is cheaper.

CPU : 2x Opteron 275
Mobo: Tyan K8WE
RAM: 4x 1GB Corsair RAM
HD: 160GB SATAII (OS & Programs) and 2x 250GB SATAII (Analysis DATA)
OS: WinXP 64bit and/or WinXP 32bit

So what you think FireGL v7100 or QuadroFX 3400. Personal i was impressed with the FireGL X2 and i can only imagine the v7100 being alot better.

Truely not worth the price lol. I don't see how Nvidia can charge so much for a CAD driver enabled 6800 Ultra. And i have no need for Dual Dual DVI Link

2 grand for a video card is just not right.

You can always have the pygmy's run around and do the calculations.

I don't know, are there any reviews comparing the two? I think I read one with the QuadroFX4400 (it "won", I think) and the FireGL X2, but not the 3400.

I just can't believe that review at all.

Anandtech are getting the same score if not better on the X800 Pro based FireGL X3. the FireGL V7100 is X800 XT based.

Maybe the FireGL Scales better with better CPU??

And to top that lol, that link did not do much better than my 9800Pro 128 turned into a fireGL with moded drivers.
