I recently gave my aunts video-editing computer with a Quadro FX 1800. However, I am having trouble with her 2 displays. She has a ViewSonic VX2835wm 28" and a Samsung SyncMaster 2233SW screen. The Quadro FX cant run either of the displays at the right resolutions. I have tried connecting via DVI and HDMI.
On the ViewSonic, I get these thick black bars at the top and bottom of my screen. When I run at 1920x1200, the screen is a bit blurry as a result. Running at 1920x1080 retains the black bars, but the screen is much less blurry. For some reason the screen is cutting off the extra 120 pixels.
For the Samsung, I have the opposite problem: the display cant show the entire screen. When I run at 1920x1080 the edges of the screen are cut off. For example, the task bar and windows button at the bottom of the screen are cut in half, with only half of it being displayed. When I switch to a lower resolution, then it displays at that resolution with black bars taking the place of unused pixels.
I am running the latest available (258.96) quadro drivers. What can I do so that my screens work properly?
