There is only one 16X PCIe slot, so I can only have one super card.. I'm not the type to keep switching back and forth... I just want the best card for my system.. and for my uses.

I'm thinking the 1900 is that card.. and eventually with in 1 year when a better card is out, I'll spring for that.

Thanks for the advise and working thru this with me...

lol, I'm not jealous... I'm smart with my money. Rather than blowing my money on a $6000 computer I invest and make money. If I wanted one that bad enough, I could order one right now. But honestly, I know that I don't even use my computers full potential, so why bother? Look at my signature, there's a few thousand dollars off stuff there.

I wish it was a mere $6K.. I'll not be vulgar and tell you what it costs.. but let's just say.. You would be very upset, I'm sure.

(Sorry, I couldn't resist) ;)

I think your e-penis needs a cold shower.
I'm sure he knows very well they make a PC version for a PC but it doesn't sound like he's using one, does it!?!?!*

The guy comes here asking about a card to use and you start questioning him like a dictator about why he would need what he has in his system?????:Q

If you don't have anything input here in a constructive manner then you need to get lost. :)

It's amazing to me that some people think it's thier right to tell people what they need or what system they should use when they have no right at all. :|

*He is using a PC, just a different non MS one

Just trying to save him a few thousand dollars on stuff he does not need/will never utilize.

BTW I am impartial to PCs or MACs

lol @ this thread.

it's already been covered, but again - if you want to game, don't get a Quadro.

and I would recommend a 7900GT over the X1900XT, but.. that's just me. :)

thanks ALL for your attempts at giving me advise.. I've made up my mind.. X1900XT for now, with future upgrades as I deem fit.
