Quad SLI review

4x 7900GTX : $2000~
FX-60 and SLI Motherboard: $1200
2GB High-End RAM: $200
1000W PSU: $500
The size of my new e-penis: Priceless

30" Dells aren't free either. Plus you'll have to hire a midget to help carry that enormous e-peen around, because you sure as heck aren't going to walk around with a turgid tumescence of that enormity under your own power.

p.s. comes out to about $5400. Which is roughly what I spent on a P233 13" toshiba laptop in 1997. It all comes down to perspective, really.

Can someone say CPU limited!

Not when playing F.E.A.R., 2560x1600 w/ 32x AA. The only way you'd ever want to buy this setup is to play at 2048x1536 and higher w/ extremely high AA/AF, where it would be GPU limited, even with Quad SLI.

This is the one case where high-end CRTs will do you better than a LCD monitor. Much cheaper for higher resolutions.

lol

DOES IT END?!?!?!?

I would like to give a shout out to the new 7900gt for being so freakin cheap!

4x 7800GTX 512MB = $2000
1KW PSU = $500
Dell 3007FPW = $2000+
Asus AN8 32-SLI = $200
AMD FX60 = $1000
2GB Ultra high end ram = $300
Cool Master Stacker = $200

That 1KW estimate is ridiculous. There is no reason why a quality 600 Watt PSU cant run a Quad SLI system. Roughly 360 for a fully loaded (In both aspects), SLI 7900GTX system. Add 220 for another 2 cards. THat make it 580Watt. Just over HALF of what they are calling for.

I would probably look at the PCP&C 750Watt, the OCZ 600 Watt, and the Seasonic S12 600Watt if i were getting this system.
