quad monitors setup

I am going to setup quad monitors for a friends poker game so that he can run a poker clock on each monitor from 1 computer. i am thinking about getting a video card with 2 vga outputs and run a pigtail off each vga output with 4 vga cables from there to the monitors. i have done this with 2 monitors with a standard video card with the pigtail and it worked fine. we already have most of the vga cables so i would like to go the vga route i need input before i buy a dual video card
