Currently I have 4 monitors setup on 2 video cards...it works, but I'm fairly certain one of the cards is dieing and I'd also like to free up a PCIe slot for a Hardware RAID card...
What should I get that will support 4 Displays on 1 card (and still let me play the occasional Game - Diablo 3 right now, but future games as well that may need a good 3d engine).
I don't want to spend more than $250 MAX.
Monitors I have now - 3 DVI, 1 VGA.
So anything with a DisplayPort needs to be able to work well with a DisplayPort to DVI adapter (and be included in my budget for the adapter).
Also, I'm not sure how well a really long card will fit ... I do have a large case, but lots of hard drives, etc inside, so would rather not go really long on the video card... my current main one is about 9" (inches) long (GTX 460 - ENGTX460)
Thank you for your help and suggestions!
other things you may want to know:
Motherboard is a ASUS Sabertooth X58 with 24G of RAM, quad core i7 3GHz.
Mostly used for VMWare workstation (development/test environment).
