Quad monitor setup - How to switch to PCIe video cards?

Hi everyone,

I'm running a quad 24" monitor setup. I keep getting an error message from Windows:

"The color scheme has been changed to windows 7 basic: The current color scheme has exceeded its allowed memory so the color scheme has been automatically changed to improve performance..."

Here is my setup:

So, to troubleshoot it, I looked at AMD's "System Monitor". It shows my on board video card at 100% and the 2 PCI-e cards at zero.

So, I'm wondering, how do I switch to use the off board cards?

Thanks for the help!

I think I've fixed the problem! I used this article from AMD:

737-20869: How to Install a Discrete PCI Graphics Card in a System with Onboard Graphics
http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticle...eonGraphicsCardinaSystemwithOnboardVideo.aspx

In case it's of use to someone else, here's what I did:

It looks like you have to do two things to setup an off-board (PCIe) graphics card. I had only done the first one. This allowed both off board cards to work, but caused windows to sometimes turn off aero because it ran out of memory.

1. BIOS - Change video setting to PCI
2. Windows - Disable the on board graphics in device manager

It seems to be working fine (for now, at least).
