"Quad City" as in the Quad City DJ's. Where is it?

Just saw the video and have always wondered what four cities (i'm assuming) comprise of the Quad Cities?

Anyone?

The Davenpoort Iowa city is part of the Quad cities as I remember.

I would imagine they are multiple quad cities. Much like the "bistate" or "tristate" areas. I could refer to my town and and the close neighboring town as the "bicity" area. Its a group of 4 cities in a relatively close area.

Quad city refers to the Miami area. It is not quad as in four but quad as in bass frequencies in the 40hz range.

Quad Cities is actually Davenport, and Rock Island in Iowa and Bettendorf and Moline in Illinois.

So, are the "Quad City Dj's" who did that one hit wonder song "The Train" (C'mon ride it ... choo choo!) a couple of years back are from the Miami area or from the other area comprising of Davenport and Dubuque Iowa and Rock Island Moline Illinois?
