Hey guys,

Ok, this may seem like a minor annoyance to most, but to someone as anal as me, it ain't

anyway.. how does one PERMANENTLY prevent qttask.exe from loading when windows starts up?

i remove it from the registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\Qttask.exe) all the frikkin time and yet it keeps coming back.

Oh.. i'd like to do the same to realsched.exe as well. Again, minor annoyance, but it annoys the !@#$ outta me.

Start, run, 'msconfig', start-up

Or permanetly...

Uninstall quicktime

Did you check HKEY_CURRENT_USER and the Startup folders?

Try renaming it it's directory. That's worked for me before.

MSConfig is the easier way out.
Works for me everytime I use windows (which is rather frequent these days .. ever since I started playing games _

You could always just turn it off in Quicktime Preferences, something like "Use Quicktime agent in system tray".
