QTParted.. Filesystem was not cleanly unmounted..

I get this error when I run qtparted and highlight my sata hard disk..

Error: Filesystem was not cleanly unmounted! You should e2fsck. Modifying an unclean filesystem could cause severe corruption.
Error: Could not detect file system.

when I try and e2fsck (from knoppix) I get a incorrect magic number in the smart block error or something. PLEASE HELP!

i need to edit my partitions, but it won't let me do anything to the partition because of the superblock error. nobody knows how to fix this?
