i'm having random reboots and i believe i've narrowed it down to hdd temp problem.

running everest, i see that the 2 hdds in the hdd cage are at 30C(86F) and 39C(102F).

this is under very little load and with the case top OFF. does this sound right?

i can't imagine them being so hot. anyone cooling your hdds?

thanks for the help.

In the heat and noise arena, the case does very well. We figured a maximum ambient air temperature of 28.3 degrees Celsius, and it kept our decent gaming rig's components each within relatively low ranges. Running full force we only measured a sound pressure level of 44 dBa, certainly low enough to not be a problem for the majority of users.

Personally I really don`t see that your hard drives are too hot......
But thats just me!
Many people run 2 or 3 harddrives with no additional cooling on the hard drives!!

Good Luck!!

i had 3 hdds in there.. 2 in the cage and 1 in the spare 5.25" bay. i went ahead and took 1 out from the cage.

I then put a hdd cooler on each of the 2 remaining. currently, with light load CPU is at 20C(68F), hdd1 is 31C(88F), hdd2 is 27C(81F).

not an improvement on one, but ~12C drop on the other.

i have the case top on, now. I think this is important otherwise i would not get the positive airflow from the vents forced through the case by the exhaust fan.

i'm going to leave it on for the night and check everest in the morning. ambient temp~21-22C.

thanks,
robert.
