I want to set up QoS at home, primarily to grant Xbox Live full bandwidth when it's on. Sometimes my wife will upload a photo and will slow down the connection or I may have a large file transfer happening over the LAN at the same time.

If I setup a a QoS rule to grant XBL full bandwidth or at least 98%, what will happen when the Xbox is off? I'm assuming the rule applies only at that time, am I correct?
