Most of the guys there don't play with 2.5Gb, but 10/40/100Gb (!) instead. I haven't heard anything negative, that's for sure aside from the comparisons to used enterprise 10Gb being cheaper (sfp version anyways).

Why the rackmount version over the desktop one? Desktop model is $299 and I would presume quieter as the rackmount model has two 40mm fans at the back.
