QIII crashes and windows reboots with bodge colours

I just thought this was odd... playing QIII on my SIII for 10 minutes it locks up. If at 800x600 then on rebooting the colours are wrong on every setting, all pale. If I use system restore then immediately things are back to normal. If I crash at 640x480, then these funny colours don't appear though. Since my Athlon runs at 55C I was wondering if it was overheating my video card in that box. The athlon actually works fine, it won't crash in other maximum usage.

I don't know hte actual cause of this. My comp has done it a few times. My solution to change the color back is (if you have an nvidia card) is to go to the dynamic resolution (softwarew controlled placement of picture.. its the one where you cna adjust the color)

It flips back all the time aftetr thatn.
