Thats how we are seeing 1000mhz FSB ( QDR )

Or am i totally missing your question...

Probably not for some time yet. The concept was made some time back, before DDR came out.
Since then I have not heard any news on it... unless that it what they are calling DDRII :confused:

It'll be a while before we see true QDR memory, unless you mean DDR-II which allows 4x the bandwidth over standard SDRAM. This LostCircuits article has a lot of good info on DDR-II. I can't wait. :)

Actually, I believe that DDR-ii is quadpumped which would make the fact that it has "DDR" in it's name quite a misnomer but the JEDEC guys wanted to keep the cachet they have invested in marketing DDR.

RDRAM is what Intel used for their systems a while back. It used to be the ONLY memory that Intel would allow use with their P4s (Willamettes). Then they allowed the use of SDRAM and DDR (smart move by Intel)

nope i was wrong there is qdr now rdram 2 piplines both ddr = qdr....... and the new ddr-2 is not ddr its qdr check it out here
