QDI Legend IV don't restart on win2k

It's an old Pentium II P6I440LX/DP board. It just doesn't restart/shutdown in win2k. It does all the shutdown routine but then stops with a black screen [with black signal, no cursor]. It worked with win98 before, so what gives?
