I have an unlocked Duron 600 CPU with all L1 bridges connected. Please note that I didn't modify the CPU by myself, it's AMD original.
I tried to change the multiplier via jumpers on QDI KinetiZ 7T motherboard but it didn't work. I tried all the possible settings and here are the results.
When I set the multiplier to 5x I successfully underclocked the CPU to 500MHz.
When set to 5.5x the CPU remained at 500MHz!!!
When set to 6x or AUTO I got 600MHz.
When set to 6.5x I got 600MHz again!!!
At 7x or higher I just got a blank screen.
Am I doing something wrong here?!
Note the CPU has also been tested on Asus A7V motherboard and it overclocked just fine.
