qalculate-{kde|gtk} issues

I can't get either of them to install with emerge. I just get:

when trying to install the kde version. I had this running on my last build but i had to reformat recently when i upgraded to kde 3.5.2 and xorg 7.0-r1 on amd64 (gentoo). I tried installing it manually but the configure couldn't t find the kde path and i'm not that savvy on the whole configure scripting stuff yet. any suggestions?
