No floppy in this system, only way to do that is to either take apart my old P4 system that has one, or go to microcenter (they close in 40 minutes) and buy one.

This doesn't make any sense.. I updated the damn bios from this same flash drive when I built the damn thing.
Do you have another computer to download BIOS ? then take out that old floppy, put it in the other system, copy files, then into the new system....

Except you also need an old DOS boot floppy..

You are right though, if you used it before, why doesn;t it work.. Not sure I can help, I have never used a USB boot driv. Maybe I need to learn, in order to join the new century...

I forgot to check if there was a DVD in the DVD drive, that was the problem. I dont use floppy drives anymore, I hate them with a passion! The only reason I installed a drive in the PC I built back in 2003 (still running) is for BIOS updates. Since that time I haven't built any PCs with floppy drives.

Up and running on the new BIOS 2101.
