That's with F@H going on the GTX460 1GB (715Mhz) all day long. Ambients are around 80F.

The coolest temps recorded by coretemp, are 41C. Obviously, that was the idle temp when I first booted up, before running F@H.

80f is going to give you high temps anyway...but idle @ 62c is bad...better look at the heatsink mounting...too loose, too much paste, not sitting flat on cpu....or
software not reporting correctly maybe.....anyway to hot for idle...at 80f id be looking for more in the mid-high 40s @ idle..
what kind of case cooling you have...does it run alot cooler with the side cover off the case...bunch of stuff to ck guy....

If you read, that's with F@H running on the GPU. All the hot air from the GPU rises up into the CPU heatsink assembly. Then up into the PSU.

Without F@H running, it's 41C.

I know I need a new set of cases badly. Thinking about the Antec 100, it has the excellent five-fan cooling of the Antec 300, but it adds a floppy bay too.
Unfortunately, they left out the reset button, for some stupid reason.

F@H's GPU client still uses up a ton of CPU power. Your CPU is certainly not "idling" during this process. Check the task manager; you should be at around 25% CPU usage.

Not exactly true. Under WinXP, with the 180.x and newer drivers, it literally takes 1% CPU time, to drive four GPUs.

Under Win7, sadly, it does take like 5% of my quad-core's CPU to drive my GTX460.

Maybe your speedStep is on in BIOS. disable that. and disable C1E in your BIOS

then boot up and desired OC speeds on the CPU and leave GPU alone.

Soo after that we can test the GPU. One gear at a time.. what is your cards voltage right now btw ?
