Q8300 better than E8400 for gaming?

Thanks guys, I was thinking this could be a better upgrade to hold me over until IvyBridge. I think I'm better off overclocking the E8400 and putting the saved money towards a full upgrade.

a simple oc to 3.6 on the E8400 will make it "good enough" for all but a handful of games.

buy a high end cooler instead and OC the e8400 to 4.0

save the high end cooler for upgrade time
