The Intel price drop is coming soon and I will be building my new rig when it happens, so the question I have is which is the better choice, the Q6600 or the E6850 since both are going to be priced the same. This is the main difference that I see,the Q6600 has 4 cores, and the E6850 has 1333 FSB. Right now nothing really uses 4 cores, but in the future I think this would be very beneficial epically when games will be designed to use the multiple cores. The E6850 does kick ass for gaming, but from reviews ex: http://anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/i [...] spx?i=3038 the increased FSB doesn't really improve that much ~2.2%. So for me who will be using his rig mostly for gaming and not wanting to upgrade for awhile (3-4 years) which CPU is the best. I am personally leaning towards the Q6600 mainly because it has 4 cores and seems somewhat future prof when more games and applications will be designed for multiple cores. Thanks for the advice in advanced.
