q6600 G0 availability

Are major retailers still shipping out B3 stepping q6600's? Is it safe to assume that if I go ahead and order one from mwave, newegg or zipzoomfly I'll receive a G0?

I'm wondering the same.

Based on a quick check this morning it appeared newegg and zipzoomfly was cheapest at $280. Newegg has with free 3 day shipping while ZZZ has FedEX ground but does throw in GRAW2.

If you want to be certain Clubit has the GO for $286 via fedex ground shipping.

I think I'll roll the dice and go with newegg.

Look for 'SLACR' anywhere in the product description. If it says that, it is a G0 stepping. If it says 'SL9UM', it is a B3

I doubt you can consider yourself "safe" to order without hesitation or research into the seller until after Oct 31 this year.

The grey market channels are likely to take a few months to fully flush the OEM and RMA'ed B3 quads out of the system.

No way, you're sure? People have been getting G0s there for more than a month. I got mine a couple weeks ago.

G0's are going to be a lot more common now... but just a heads-up, one of my suppliers (a large distributor) still has 2,500+ B3 chips in stock right now, so it's far from definite still.

You'll still have to check and verify from the retailer that you are ordering G0. There is a good supply of B3s out there still.

I think there are plenty places advertise selling G0s. So just wait til one of them going onsale and get your G0 there. Newegg I doubt will full be out of B3s since they are pretty big has tons returns from B3 people who probably just order, return then reorder hoping for a G0. That'll take a bit to flush out then it'll be all G0 ahead.
