Do these things go well togather?
and at the mentioned price do this combo rocks!


Q6600 @3GHz WITH Stock HSF 194$

GA-EP45-DS3R 140$

PALIT HD4850 170$


Need mainly for hi-end Games and virtualisation on a 22" monitor, might add another
4850 in 6 months or so

Yeah, they do go well together and will be enough for 1680 x 1050 resolution, the PSU is enough too.

the 6600 is easier to oc due to the fsb in most cases... if the mobo can do the fsb, 8xxx is cooler and lower power draw...

I wouldn't rule out the Q82/300. I would pick the 8300 above the Q6600. Unless you are planning on getting up to 3.5-6ghz and overclock to the extreme, the Q8xxx is a much better deal. Not to mention is uses less power and lower temps. All of which is important to me.
