Very nice cpu. Most P35 boards can do 500fsb, but not many C2Qs can do 500fsb, which is the key.

PCI-E 2 x 16x vs PCI-E 1 x 16x is the big one.

At the price of these boards, they better be decked out. Otherwise your better off going a cheaper board with near same overclock ability.

The UT was out b4 the LT. The LT kicks butt from what ive been investigating. Enough to make me want to buy one. the first one is a LP LT while the other is a UT.

The LT is a new revsion that has 2 x 16x and 1 x 4x or 1 1x

The UT i believe only has 1x16x and the other 2 can both do 4x or 1x

Yeah its kinda confusing.. but the board you want is the one from motherboardpro

The LT one is the one, as someone said earlier, without the Transpiper. IMHO, the Transpiper is a HUGE waste of money. The stock one with the P35 UT sucks. Without airflow over it, and without an option to safely secure a fan to it either, the Chipset runs 40c and the PWM runs around 40c, IDLE AND STOCK.

The LT mentioned above is also the X38 Chipset bringing with it X16 + X16 + X4 (electrical only, X16 Physical slot) PCIe slots.

Hope this helps. BTW the LT is NOT available here in Australia, AT ALL. :( :frown:.

You just made up my mind
That is the overclock I was aiming for until the B3 arrived at my doorstep - knew I was in trouble

One question is that the blood iron or the next level up (Black version) - tired of the cheaper scaled down models

Neither, this is on the DFI LanParty UT P35 T2R.

nononono did u miss my post?

LP LT > LP UT

Get the LT version not the UT version.

He asked what board this was and it's the UT version. Why would the LT be better than the UT...

yeah but are you talking about the LT X38 or the LT P35? the X38 chipset introduces support for two 16x PCI-e slots, with the 3rd slot being 4x, pretty sure the LT P35 is the same as the UT P35 except for the heatpipe setup and the transpiper. There's also supposed to be a UT X38...

LT-P35 good
UT-P35 better
LT-X38 best
UT-X38 bester

DK-P35 - finally something to fill the gap between the P35 BloodIron and the LT-P35. Because it's the LanParty series, its going to have more bells and whistles than the lesser yet still formidable BloodIron (I guess DFI decided it was time to revamp their Infinity series image). Unfortunately the DK-P35 is only 4 layer PCB and only has 4 Phase digital PWM (vs. 6 layers and 8 phase of the higher end LP P35/X38 boards), however reviews indicate that its still a very formidable board, and fits really well in its sub $150 niche.
