Q6600 - CPU-Z reporting 1.6GHZ (6x 266MHz)

CPU-Z is reporting my CPU at running at 1.6GHz (6 x 266MHz).

Core Temp and nTune are reporting that is running normal at 2.4GHz (9x 266MHz).

What's the deal?

If any sort of power reduction option is on (C1E?) then your CPU will be downclocked while idle. Run something CPU intensive like Orthos and see if CPUz still reads 1.6GHz.

A simple search on 'Q6600' would answer these repetitive questions that get asked every other day.
