They can't be, at least not guaranteed. If you have no plans on overclocking then the $20 or so might be worth it.

just wait a couple of months until the initial freny is over and the old stock is depleted. G0 is not only for o/c'ing, it also consumes less wattage, and presumably runs cooler.

Because now is when you are doing your build and it a good price. Most people who are not OCing or watching their power bill down to the penny will never notice the difference between a B3 and G0.
