Q6600 B-3 or GO STEPPING???

Can someone PLEASE tell me the difference between the Q6600 B-3 and GO STEPPING CPU`s and how to tell the difference between the two? I have the EVGA 680i sli 775 ar version mobo with a e6600 oc to 3.42GHz and want to tryout the Q6600 and was told to get the GO STEPPING , I just need to know whats the difference and how to telll... That article doesn't compare temps...

I don't really think it needs to compare the temps considering the amount of power it takes it down which results in less heat. The lower temps would be just a gimme.

the op didnt ask for temps.

He asked for the main differences between the chips. That article was nicely written and told of all the changes.

What more could you ask for? as for temps, we know its a lower TDP. You cant do an accurate temp comparision because variables will be too different.

How well was the mounting done?
Are the ambients the same as the tests done?
Did you use the exact Same TIM on both applications?
Are the surfaces both = flat

Ect ect..

Too many variables.
