So about a week ago I went about OCing my Q6600 on its stock cooler just for fun. Got it to 9x333 (3.0 ghz) by upping the some amount. It ran hot, but stable. Ran prime 95 ver. 25.4 for hours, it was stable. Ran memtest and my memory was fine. However, after a few days when I go to restart my computer, it takes a long time to shut down and when it does restart it beeps several times rapidly then it restarts. When it boots back up, my settings are back to stock. This happened again when I just tried a 2.8 ghz OC.

I have another question, when increase the voltage in bios. Say I increased it to 1.3v, but when I boot up, CPU-Z and speedfan says it's 1.2 or something like that. What gives?

System specs:
Q6600 G0
GA-965P-DS3 (rev 2)
4 gb of G.Skill DDR2 800 5-5-5-15
Corsair 520HX
8800 GTS 640mb
74gb raptor
320gb seagate
250gb maxtor

if this thing vdroops, then his stress testing should bomb since it'll be undervolted at high load, so why did the stree testing pass 25hrs with the vdroop in place on high load?
