Q3A is really really dark in win2k...any ideas?

when i launch q3a in win2k it is very very dark and i am unable to make it brighter. i can up the brightness setting in q3, but there is no visible change.
any ideas?

i had the same problem, you have to enter a console command to up the gamma a bit, i forgot the actual command, sorry =/
but...it's probably located at Planet Quake, or maybe at its config site The Bind

sorry, my expertise lies in the Q2 scripting language, lol

one last thing- i get a cd key invalid error

that's the same key i'm using under win98 and it works just fine there
any ideas?

goto hercules's site...look through their tech support for game issues, it will talk about the win2k issue and tell you how to fix it(working fine on my system right now w/same card as you)

Be extra sure that you don't have the CAPS LOCK on when entering the Key.

oooh this was helpfull, i had the SAME problem on a 64 MB radeon

had to have the monitors brightness turned all the way up..then had to reset it when i exited outta Q3 back to the desktop
