Going to be building a new box shortly and have to admit that I'm confused over video cards. Last time that I had a clue was about the Geforce2 Ultra. What Video card available now would you consider to be "best bang for the buck"? I'm looking for one with TV out and (possibly) DVI.
Frankly, I wish they would change some of the naming so that you could have a clue

Many people here are waiting for the Geforce 4 Ti 4200 to be released (word on the hot deals forum is $175 at the end of April). Supposedly that will be the best bang for the buck. It should outpreforum the GF3 Ti 500, and cost half as much. It should also beat out the Radeon 8500.

I have just bought the Radeon 8500 a few weeks ago and I am impressed with over-all graphics quality. I am using the ATI offical drivers and have no problems with games.

Best bang for the buck?
I think it might be a Radeon 7500.
For ~ $80.00 bucks you are getting a card which matches the GF2Ultra in terms of performance on higer resolutions and in
32-bit color + second monitor support through DVI, and S-video out.
I ve got an OEM version made by ATI in refurb. section of Newegg.com for $79.00 shipped.....
If you don't need second monitor support then pick up the GF4 MX 440, which is slightly faster than GF2 Ultra fro about $90.00...
.....

Still not sure, do some research on your own
