I have a Lite-On 4X burner that I am considering putting in an external USB 2.0 case to make it more portable. The enclosure I'm looking at mention supporting speeds up to 480Mbps as well as DVDRW drives. Realistically, how well will this drive perform via USB 2.0?
According to some FAQs I've found online, 2.4X speed is equivalent to 22Mbps. So does that mean burning DVDs at 4X would require about 37Mbps ... ?
