Q: I have a 2 port NIC...running win2000. I want to bond these ports to a 200mb connection.....HOW?

There should be a setting in the drivers for teaming the ports. Have you gotten the latest drivers from SMC's site?

why do you want to do this? Your ethernet connection is only 1mb if that.
something like this isn't all that useful unless this will be a server.

my $.02 worth.

This kind of "channel bonding" is best controlled by the driver.

Also, you need a switch that will support it. All the home network switches I know of don't support link bonding or etherchannel (cisco world).

Just checked SMC website. There were no dual-port NICs listed there (well, there are ones with two ports but it is still only one active nic). What is the model number?
