I want to know a ballpark cost.
Thanks.

Seeing as how I live with a Construction company owner, you'd have to give measurements and examples of what you are looking for.

ATOT is not the place to ask a question like this.

However my guess would be anywhere from 3-6G's

If it is a do-it-yourself, get the square footage of the foundation and find out what the cost of cement would be if your want a floor. Else determine the cost of a foundation.

Determine if you want it to be cinderblock or wood wall.

IF you are prepared to do the work yourself and are able, go for it.

Otherwise expect between 5-10K for a decent place built by a contractor.

There are probably garage companies in your area that will give you an estimate on how much it would cost to put up a garage. Check the yellow pages.

You can get prefabbed steel buildings for pretty darn cheap. Check the back of a science or car magazine for phone #s.

If you can build it yourself, or a lot of it anyway...
the saving would pay for an air compressor and a couple of nail guns for sure.

if this is a garage to go with a 300k house, you will want to spend considerably more... a major addition like that will really effect the overall appearance of the property and if it is done well, will enhance the property.

If you build it with an actual foundation, poured floor, and block walls, you are looking at clost to $10,000-$12,000 depending on how much work you do yourself.

You could just have one of the premanf. one's dropped in there for a couple grand. They won't be very insulated, nor will they last as long as the well constructed one though.
