It look slike in order to have the silencer properly vented to the outside world, it looks like the back plane that mounts to the case must have a slot milled in it so that air can get to the outside of the case.

This back plane metal tab is "double wide" so it blocks the fan but it's special with how it attaches...So, the question is... What did you do with yours? How did you get it vented?

I drilled three hude holes in mine, but i guess you could buy a spare part from one of the other 6800 makers that use a single slot.

Yes, AGP... And it has a "double wide" slot plate... Looks like I will have to pull the card to get the slot plate out and mill out a slot and then replace the card... It's not overheating or anything, but I'm sure this will help drop the temps even more...
