Q for those of you using Mozilla Thunderbird

I can't seem to get mine to work....seems like it just won't import my .PST file from my last Outlook backup.

Do you have to have Outlook installed on your PC when you try to import all of your emails into Thunderbird? Maybe it works better if you open Outlook, load up your .PST file there and then do an identity transfer over to Thunderbird?

It's a PITA, but if I know for sure this will work, I can do it.

Crappy though, I was hoping it could import a .PST file directly.

Any comments appreciated.

The easiset way to get the messages into Thunderbird is to
IMPORT the messages into Outlook Express and then to Thunderbird.

The way to do it with the least amount of hassle is to IMPORT the PST
into Eudora and then to Thunderbird (least amount of broken mail this way).

I see. Well for some reason, I just can't get either Thunderbird OR Outlook Express to import this .PST file....I'm soon going to write it off as a bad backup file.
