:Q crap, I think I killed my processor.NM, still good

I was trying to install a floppy so I could make a boot disk and install slackware and my comp wouldn't post. I just noticed that a wire was caught in the fan and wouldn't let it turn. It won't post at all , even when I unplug everything.

It does'nt smell, Just the heatsink feels like its on fire and the harddrive light stays on whether or not I have a harddrive installed.

NM, it posts. It just had to cool down for about five minutes. I am amazed it didn't burn, It must have been without a fan for ~ 8-10 minutes.

I have been contemplating this, and I think it's because he said he "killed" it, and you usually kill people. If he had used "destroyed" or "fried" I think we all would have read it as processor instead of professor...
