As the thread title states, am I the only one who watches Smash Lab on the Discovery Channel?

On a side note, Deanne is cute as a button!

I watch it when I'm completely bored. They seem to have a fairly large budget as they seem to get whatever they want.

I watched the first 3 episodes. I don't know why I started missing them after that.

Ditto: I'll watch if nothing else is on, but it's like a boring ripoff of mythbusters.

I watched a couple of episode, the runaway truck brake, forest fire house wrap and the one where they were trying to stop a car with CO2, I don't quite get it, got bored after 20 minutes and turned it off. All the ideas they had for gadgets are stupid, they talk about it for 30 seconds and I can tell it is not going to work. I haven't been able to get through a show yet, have they ever actually succeeded?

Well, pumping air through sand did stop an escaping van and a person. However, they used a pretty large sand pit to stop the car.

Big knock off of Mythbusters

It's so much worse than Mythbusters too.

At least you occasionally learn something from Mythbusters.

What do we learn from Smash Lab? Mushy cement is an unbelievably impractical way to stop runaway vehicles, carbon fiber is not as strong as a hurricane, quicksand is an stupid way to catch bank robbers...

I've tried to give the show a chance, but I can't even make it 10 minutes into the show...

The show's problem is they try so hard to put science into it, but the content is so unbelievably stupid and illogical, that when they get into the science and procedures of their problem solving - it's just so stupid. The whole time watching, I just want to punch them in the face for being that stupid.

Smash Lab is RETARDED. I watched the first two episodes and couldn't stand it. I don't like the actors at all; at least the Mythbusters guys used to do special effects (so they've actually done some pretty cool shit)

Mythbusters is to Smash Lab as Basketball is to XTREME SPORTZ; neither is that educational, but Smash Lab is absolutely retarded (as are all extreme sports)

I watched one full episode and I try to watch it sometimes but it's just terrible.

I think the biggest problem with the show is that it has 30 minutes of filler.

Watched an episode of it and didn't like it at all. The cast is just horrible and their "experiments" are worthless

I watch it if I catch it. I've only seen the train bumper and the sand trap (which was a ridiculous idea)

I watch the new ones, but skip through alot of them. Almost all of their ideas are 'kinda neat' but never practical, and will NEVER, EVER go into real life usage
