Q about new ASUS motherboard.

I just got Asus A7N8X deluxe.

How would I know if ts rev 1 or 2? I didn't notice anything on the box....

Also, the CPU was a PITA to install. I had to press on the MB a bit....kind of hard. Can this kill the MB or are these things strong. AMD is a such a PITA to install.

I bought GEIL 3200 512mb memory for this thing. I read many reviews on newegg and people seem to like this ram with this MB. What you guys think...any experiance. And does it matter which slot I put that 1 stick in? There are 2 that are close to eachother and 1 to the side. Im not sure which one to use.

i always thought it was very simple to install a hsf 🙂

but assuming you didnt slip with the screw driver (or what ever tool you use to install the hsf) and gouge the motherboard, then it should be fine

personally im not a big fan of geil, i much prefer buffalo

I just got it up and running. Geil seems to do just fine for now. It recognizes it at 400mhz. Seems like it works fine.

And how do I do that???

Right now at the boot up it says Memory freaquency 195mhz
