Not necessarily true - the majority of Indian folks I know tend to be a lot smaller than your average Caucasian person. That snake may be rather "average".

reticulated pythons aren't native to india. They stay further east.

I think even the biggest ones would have problems with something larger than a child.

That' python's head looks way too small to eat an adult human...I know they can expand to like 2.5 times their size, but even that would be a stretch...pun intended.
