I used to have a Shuttle FV25 that would PXEBOOT FreeBSD without any problems. This machine died so I am trying to get another machine to perform the same task. I know that in order for PXEBOOT to work, the NIC must support it, but does the motherboard have to as well? My mobo doesn't have an option to boot from the network, but if I do have a PXEBOOT enabled NIC it should work... right?
Nevermind
In order to PXEBOOT, you must have a NIC that has the PXEBOOT rom on it. Luckily my 3com 3c905c has it and I can boot a kernel off my DHCP/TFTP server.
